As I created this piece, “It Takes A Village” I have the belief that children flourish through the hands and hearts of their community, parents, teachers, mentors, friends, and neighbors. In that spirit, I honor Rick Rypien #11, whose own compassion and battles with mental health inspired Project 11.

His legacy reminds us that caring for one another matters deeply. This work is my way of celebrating the shared strength and belonging that give every child room to grow-and honoring Rick Rypien's enduring impact along that path.
